DIVIDE & LEARN : The method of dividing an item into small chunks of knowledge and remembering them is a commonly used technique of memorizing. This method is very common and also one of the oldest one. It is used to memorize long numbers and spellings of long & complicated words.
Example
1. The cell phone number of my friend is 9810150847.
I break it apart 9810-15-08-47
I remember it 9810 + year of independence.
2. The house no. of Mr. Ajay is 241248
Group it as 24,12,48 . Remember it as 3,1,4 table of 12.
3. Spelling of ‘Corporate’
Ungroup it as Cor – po – rate
Try to keep the size of divisions small in the range of 6 to 10.
